Corridor Plan: Public hearing draft

imageHere it is! The latest version of the Sprague & Appleway Corridor Subarea Plan - the "Public Hearing Draft" developed for upcoming presentations and review by the City of Spokane Valley.

It’s a very large file, so give it time to download. Have a slow connection or prefer a disk copy? Get in touch with project lead at the City for a free CD-ROM version.

We’ve also included copies of the City’s Notice of Availability for the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) and the copy of the DSEIS adopted on January 18, 2008, both linked below.

FTB library presentation

imageOn Tuesday, October 2nd, lead consultant Michael Freedman of FTB presented plans and concepts regarding the proposed new City center and library before a special joint meeting of the Spokane Valley City Council and Spokane County Library District board members.

Currently, plans depict a center on a 30-acre site, bounded by University, Sprague, Appleway and Dartmouth. The project is intended to include a new City Hall and library amid retail, restaurants and pedestrian areas. The libary will anchor the new project according to Friedman, since such features generate visits by both commercial and residential users.

Here’s a print copy of FTB’s slide-show - it’s a large file, so be patient while it’s downloading!
