Comment Period Extended

Following a second busy evening of public comment on the draft Sprague-Appleway Revitalization Plan, the Spokane Valley Planning Commission voted Thursday night to extend the written comment period for another two weeks, to Friday, April 4 at 5:00 pm.

From an e-mail notice sent to participants by City staff on Friday March 21:

"The Commissioners and staff felt that based on the amount of testimony, and comments received so far and the complexity of the plan, it would be valuable to the City to give our citizens two more weeks to review all the aspects of the Plan and be able to comment, or comment further if they so wished...it is with constant communication with our Community that we build the community that we want to grow forward with. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions."

Minutes from the March 20 meeting will be posted here or at the City website as soon as transcriptions of comments are completed.
